Fire Prevention

A fire prevention/fire safety class was held for our elementary department by our very own volunteer fireman and 5th grade teacher Mr.Reiersen! The students loved his demonstration and learned how to help prevent house fires and what to do if they are in a house fire.

Mr. Reiersen's Sayville Fire Department also supplied each student with a coloring book to help re-enforce the lesson learned. Students learn by what they see and also by what they hear but they learn the most by what they do so a hands on class like the one Mr. Reiersen did is the best way for them to learn this important and potentially life saving lesson.
