Former Graduate Wilson Agramonte Signs With the New York Yankees!

Here is a picture taken earlier this month of former Upper Room Christian School graduate Wilson Agramonte signing with the New York Yankees. Wilson graduated in June and was signed in December. This was his dream as a young boy growing up in the Dominican Republic.

Wilson's Dad, who lived in Manhattan, heard of Upper Room Christian School's baseball program and wanted his son to spend his last year in high school at Upper Room playing for Coach Passalaqua. Wilson is a left hander throwing at about 89 mph making him a real asset to any program. Coaches Passalaqua and Jackson both worked hard with Wilson getting him ready and getting him before the scouts.

Coach Passalaqua of URCS also partners with his son Anthony at Long Island Baseball a baseball training facility they founded to enhance and promote young baseball players here on Long Island. They also put together Long Island's only Baseball Showcase where 25 of Long Island's best players come for the day to be observed by Major League and College Scouts.

When I contacted Wilson to congratulate him he was so happy and said, "Thanks for everything"! Wilson, it was our pleasure and we will be cheering you on throughout your professional baseball career!
